Don't come crying to the man when:
1. You don’t get a
hard copy of the contract
2. You’re disciplined for lateness; even with a legitimate excuse
3. You’re disciplined for being over an hour late after a foot of snow
falls
4. The state can solely select your grievance arbitrator
5. Your institution holds a charge over your head for a year
6. You are resigned NOT in good standing for a scheduling screw up
7. Your overtime (supplemental) and regular pay is combined
8. You don’t get your crack whore money, steps, across the board
increases because the state doesn’t have the funding to appropriate such
increases
9. You retire with one-quarter of accumulated sick and vacation payout
instead of one-half
10. You allowed Lincoln’s and Washington’s birthday to be combined (you
lost a holiday)
11. You cannot select a Personal Preference Day because your post is
closed that holiday
12. You have to work the holiday first before using a Personal
Preference Day
13. You lost one-quarter of the Administrative Leave Day allowances
(excuses)
14. You cannot use compensatory time even when scheduled more than 30
days out
15. You must provide a doctor’s note after 5 consecutive days out, no
longer 10 days
16. You now are on a 12 month sliding scale instead of calendar year for
sick time usage
17. Sick Leave Injury will now NEVER EVER return because you gave it
away from the contract language
18. You are no longer paid overtime after successfully grieving unfair
assignment
19. The Joint Health and Safety Committee has been eliminated
20. The medical premium sharing language was just put into your contract
language
21. Your uniform allowance stayed the same for 4 years yet inflation
costs rise
22. Tuition Reimbursement is NO more
23. Statutory Law now supercedes negotiated contractual clauses
24. Juvenile Justice Commission is abolished and facilities close and
more layoffs occur in the Officer’s ranks – yet you don’t care or help
your brothers and sisters in blue; unbeknownst the privatization of your
own livelihood follows right on their heels
25. Shall we continue? Really? Is this not enough already? WTF?!?
Just what will it take for you to do something? We don't know what
is worse, the 1767 voting for this shit or the 2365 jackasses who didn't
even give a shit enought to return a postage paid envelope with their
ballot inside!
